Lab Administrator - Accessioning

Description:

The Lab Administrator - Accessioning will be responsible for handling pharmaceutical samples sent in for testing by pharmacists and manufacturing clients. This person will assess those samples to determine if they are appropriate for testing and log them into the laboratory management system. As part of the sample assessment, this person will be responsible for contacting the client as needed. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently and multitask as well. Additionally, this position requires the employee to make sound decisions based on limited information. The individual should possess basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. A familiarity with the pharmaceutical industry as well as chemistry is a plus, but not necessary for the position. This is a full time position and is eligible for benefits such as health, dental, life insurance, paid time off, holidays, and a 401(K) retirement savings plan.

Laboratory Technician - Microbiology

Description:

Performs general laboratory tasks. Is responsible for cleaning and sterilizing glassware, preparation of media, growth promotion, laboratory cleaning and quality control, and tracking of laboratory supplies. Has basic knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures used in the microbiology laboratory. Will perform laboratory tests under supervision. Requires a minimum high school diploma with some college course work and 0-2 years experience in related area. Relies on instruction and works under immediate supervision of a microbiologist. Primary job function does not require exercising independent judgment.

Quality Assurance Associate

Description:

ARL is seeking to hire a Quality Assurance Associate to maintain and further develop our Quality Assurance Program. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of GMP, GLP, ICH, USP and ISO 17025 standards as they apply to a laboratory setting.

Qualifications:

  • - BS in Chemistry or related field
  • - 5+ years of QA experience in a laboratory setting
  • - Familiar with GMP, GLP, ICH, USP, and ISO 17025 standards as they apply to a laboratory setting

Responsibilities:

  • - Provides advice and technical analysis of Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities with regard to FDA, ICH, USP and ISO standards
  • - Examines effectiveness of QA/QC & Safety programs through audits
  • - Facilitates QA programs such as Document Control, CAPA, Deviations, Change Control, Proficiency / Training and Equipment QC
  • - Develops objectives in cooperation with Lab Operations to maximize test reliabity
  • - Monitors QA/QC and Safety goals
  • - Supports Laboratory Accreditation Programs

Research Scientist I

Description:

The Research Scientist I will be responsible for processing and analyzing pharmaceutical samples sent in for testing by pharmacists and manufacturing clients. The position requires a bachelors degree in chemistry or a related field and 0-2 years laboratory experience. The individual must be able to think and work independently, yet share ideas and work toward team goals. Ability to express thoughts in a clear concise manner both orally and written is also expected. Working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, procedures, and instrumentation used in a chemistry laboratory is preferred. The individual must demonstrate ability to effectively prioritize and plan multiple work activities with varying deadlines and complexities.

Responsibilities:

  • - Development and validation of analytical methods
  • - Development of research proposal and study protocol
  • - Communicate with client regarding the research progress verbally and in writing
  • - Preperation of study report
  • - Qualitatively/quantitatively testing routin and non-routin client samples
  • - Prepares chemical reagents/mobile phase needed to perform testing
  • - Document and record experiment details in lab notebook
  • - Work wtih direct supervision and report to the lab supervisor

Preferred Experience and Skill

  • - HPLC, GC, and LCMS
  • - Analytical balance and pipette
  • - Chemical reagent and buffer preparation

The individual must be able to think and work independently, yet share ideas and work toward team goals. Working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, procedures, and instrumentation used in chemistry laboratory is preferred. Research Scientist II will be expected to be a resource for less experienced analysts. The individual must demonstrate ability to effectively prioritize and plan multiple work activities with varying deadlines and complexities.

Sample Coordinator - Accessioning

Desciption of Duties:

  • - Works under the Lab Administration/Accessioning department
  • - Sort and file samples upon completion of being logged into LIMS
  • - Prepare sample list and labels for microbiology
  • - Deliver rush samples to analyst and micro samples to microbiology at specified times
  • - Organize and maintain sample storage locations
  • - Clear out samples from storage locations at specified retention times
  • - Maintain disposed sample storage room.
  • - Assist in destruction of samples
  • - Fill in logging in samples as needed.
  • - Retrieve samples for analysts as needed.

Sample Preparation - Chemist I

Description:

ARL is seeking a full time Sample Preparation Chemist I with 0-2 years experience for our 5:00am-1:30pm M-F shift. Primary job responsibilities include preparation of pharmaceutical samples in various matrices for HPLC analysis. Ideal candidate will have hands on experience with routine sample preparation techniques and basic laboratory equipment including analytical balances and micropipettes. A bachelor's degree in chemistry or related science is required.

Senior Microbiologist

Description:

ARL has a position available in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for a Senior Microbiologist. The ideal candidate will have industry experience and will serve as a leader among the Microbiologists while working under the supervision of the Microbiology Lab Supervisor. Responsibilities include providing guidance to the microbiology group by facilitating scheduling of testing, ensuring compliance with internal SOP's, review of data and technical reports and general laboratory management. Must have excellent communication/people skills, knowledge of microbiology concepts (USP compendial requirements including USP <71>, <85>, <51>, <61>, <62>), environmental monitoring, project implementation, and Word and Excel experience. Requires a bachelor's degree in Microbiology or similar area, experience in the field and demonstrated leadership/supervisory skills.

Qualifications:

  • -BS with minimum 4 years of experience in Microbiology

Required Experience and Skills

  • - Demonstrated leadership skills, verbal and written communication
  • - USP <71> and <85> Sterility and Endotoxin testing
  • - USP <51> and <61/62> PET and Bioburden/Objectionable organisms
  • - Good understanding of ICH, FDA and USP guidelines
  • - Ability to work successfully in both a team/matrix environment as well as independently
  • - Aseptic technique
  • - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage priorities, and maintain timelines for multiple activities is required

Key Responsibilities:

  • - Provide guidance to the microbiology department by facilitating scheduling of testing, review of analytical work and maintaining quality standards
  • - Perform OOS/OOT investigative work, risk assessments and assess impact to customer data
  • - Participate in discussions with scientific and business development personnel regarding technical and operational issues including routine sample and project testing/results, SOPs and client relations
  • - Communicate effectively with all associates, departments and clients to maintain high customer service levels
  • - Assist laboratory personnel in daily laboratory activities to maintain high scientific quality, compliance with SOPs and cGMP protocols and safety standards. Train employees on tasks where applicable
